About Me

Hello! My name is Ashlyn Connaghan, and I’m a fourth year advertising and public relations major with a minor in global studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After my undergraduate degree, I plan to work in advertising, whether it be as an art director, copy writer or strategist, to utilize my well-rounded set of creative writing and design skills coupled with my international cultural studies.

To develop my skills in writing and speaking, I was a part of UNL's Mock Trial Organization for two years. In my second year of school, I acted as our social media manager, a voting member at large and the judge’s coordinator for our annual student-run Scarlet & Cream Invitational tournament.

Like my passions, my hobbies require observation: painting, traveling, reading and crafting. This is why it’s one of my biggest strengths integrated in my thought process and work. Coupled with growing up among the values of a small-town environment, my goal professionally is to do nothing without thorough, creative user-centric consideration.
